Mgtow isn't winning 
 
I often hear "mgtow is winning" here or on YouTube. 
 
Mgtow isn't "winning". There is no winning. There is no scenario in which women reform and traditional relationships come back. And if you are waiting for that, you aren't mgtow; you're marriage strike.
 
Mgtow is about surviving. It's saying no to any legal, financial, or emotional commitment to women because in current year such commitment can only harm you. Mgtow is about accepting that the meta has changed and there are no (for all practical purpose) marriageable women today. 
 
Mgtow is about then getting on with your life and filling it with as much happiness and meaning as you can now that raising a family is off the table. Mgtow is about finding all the other things in life outside of LTRs, marriage, and children that bring meaning and fulfilment to life. That is what going your own way really is. 
 
There's nothing wrong with the marriage strike, except that it is futile. But it's not mgtow and never was even though the marriage strike people did coin the term. Even when the book The Marriage Strike came out, it was obvious to me that it wasn't a strike. It was just men checking out of the marriage market permanently. 
 
The thing is, you can't really start to live your life fully until you accept that LTRs and marriage are over, and you're ok with that. 
 
You also have to stop wanting women to get their comeuppance. Women suffering and regretting their decisions isn't going to improve your life one teensy bit. Stop letting them live rent-free in your head. The only thing you should feel about women and what they are doing is nothing, complete apathy. It's irrelevant. 
 
Between 2012 and 2016 there were a lot of great theoretical discussions in the mgtow community by YouTubers like Colttaine, StarDusk (Thinking Ape), Turd Flinging Monkey, CsMgtow, and RazorbladeKandy. I'm probably forgetting a few. However, now that everything theoretical about mgtow and female nature has been said a long time ago and there's nothing to add to those discussions, it's time that mgtow moves on. 
 
Mgtow discussions today should not be about women's behavior or regrets. It should not be about complaining about female nature. Mgtow discussions should be about how men can live fulfilling lives in a post-woman, post-family world. 
 
The great mgtow existentialist crisis is "now that men can no longer get purpose and meaning from raising a family, what are we to do"? The various answers to this question are the variations of mgtow itself. 
 
Some men answer the crisis with "get laid as much as possible with no commitment". These hedonistic mgtow call themselves "the red pill community", but they are really Pickup Artist version 2. PUA 1 was the Mystery Method. 
 
Some men decide to work hard, get a lot of money, and buy expensive toys or travel the world. These materialist and experiencist mgtow seek fun beyond sex. 
 
Some men decide to go the FIRE route, financial independence and retire early. I'm not sure it's a good tradeoff as you are trading free time when you are young for free time when you are old, but there are some merits to it. Still, it punts the issue. What to do once you are retired? 
 
Some men decide to maximize free time, forgoing more income than needed for life. Too risky for my taste, but these are the men dropping out of the workforce or working reduced hours. These leisure mgtow find meaning in their hobbies, whatever they are. 
 
Although I wouldn't recommend it, some men devote themselves to their religion and find happiness there. 
 
Other men volunteer to a cause they care about like teaching robotics to high school students or being a scout instructor. Some foster animals. Others adopt a pet. In all of these cases, the men have something they care about and either people or quasi-sentient animals that scratch their paternal itch. 
 
There may be more variations worth discussing. Ultimately this is the stuff we should be talking about. How can we make our lives better in a post-marriage, post-family world?
